「 Reflection and Upload of Your Report 」

Dear Integrity 2,

Here's your final assignment with regards to the project. You are required to do a reflection of the project of about 200 words (minimum).

The guiding questions which may help to complete this task can be found in the 'ASK N LEARN' survey on the Jiritsu Project.

In addition to this, you will need to upload a softcopy of your report which you had done earlier as part of your alternative assignment.

Have fun reflecting! :D

Regards,
Ms Chin

「 Reflection on the Career Fair 2007 」

Dear Integrity 2,

Alright! All of you should have attended the Career Fair 2007 by now and have gathered whatever relevant information you require for your alternative assessment. The next thing you have to do is to complete your 5th entry for the blog which is a reflection on the event. Here's some guidelines on what should be included:

(1) What was the event all about;
(2) When and where did the event take place;
(3) Objectives / purpose of the event;
(4) Did I gain from attending the event? What and why?

All entries should be at least 200 words long and done by 5 March 2007 (12 a.m.).

HAPPY REFLECTING!

Regards,
Ms Chin

「 Some Guidelines on Leaving Comments on Blogs 」

Dear Integrity 2,

I am glad to see that some of you have made an attempt to leave your comments on your Japanese counterparts' blogs. However, I note that the comments left are very generalised. Hence, I am providing you with some guidelines as to what should be left on the comments.

(1) Look up their 'self-introduction' and do a short introduction of yourself as their blog-pal.

(2) On their choice of careers, it might be a good idea to inform them of what is happening in the local scene (in Singapore) i.e. what does one need to be a doctor in Singapore, is there any shortage of doctors in Singapore (if so, what is the government doing about it), how much does a doctor earn in Singapore and the job scope). It might also be good to provide website linkups so that they will be able to look up the information themselves.

Remember that it is an EXCHANGE OF IDEAS / INFORMATION that we are focussing on.

Regards,
Ms Chin

「 Career Fair 2007 」

Dear Integrity 2,

As mentioned on Friday, you are required to gather the following information while at the fair.

Step 1
(1) Decide on 3 possible jobs you may wish to take up in the future as it is always a good idea to have a back-up plan.

Step 2
(1) Visit the relevant booths and ask the following questions:

(a) The qualification / experience needed for the job;

(b) The job scope / responsibilities involved in the job;

(c) The long-term career prospects of the job;

(d) The relevance of the job in the next decade (i.e. whether it will still be around in the future e.g. will teachers be replaced by computers in the next decade due to the surge in advancement in technology and globalisation?)

I will prepare the worksheets for all of you and distribute them on Friday during lesson time. I will be collecting the worksheets at the end of the fair.

By the way, here's the website of the Career Fair 2007 for those who are interested in finding out more about the event.

「 Third Entry, Tag Board and Other Important Stuff 」

Dear Integrity 2,

Please take note of the following:

(1) Your third entry for your blogs will be due on Monday (26 February 2007);
(2) Those who have yet to complete their second & third entries, please do so by the same Monday;
(3) Those whose blogs are not up yet, please do so by the abovementioned Monday;
(4) You are to refer to the tag board for any important messages from me whenever you log onto the class blog;
(5) Please put up a comments section in your respective blogs if you have not done so (check with Kenneth, Bernard, Amos or Melvin if you are not sure);
(6) Proceed to leave comments on your Japanese counterparts' blogs by the aforesaid Monday. Thus far, Susanna has been making the effort to do so. Additionally, check on your individual blogs as I believe there are some comments left by the Taki High Students.

I do understand that most of you are busy with your other schoolwork. However, please note that this is also considered as PART of your alternative assessment. Remember, FAILURE to comply with the work given will result in a DEDUCTION of marks from your oral and written report.

Regards,
Ms Chin

「 Please start visiting your blog-pal 」

Dear Integrity 2,

Please proceed to leave your comments on your blog-pal's blog over this weekend as some of the other classes have already started doing so. Remember to click 'repost' to leave your comments. You may, if you wish, visit and comment on the other Taki High School blogs. However, please ensure that you also leave comments on your assigned blog-pals' blogs. Good luck with it!

Regards,
Ms Chin

P.S. Most of the career reviews done by the Taki High School students include an article review and their opinions on the article. Have a read through and leave your thoughts on the article/opinion.
